Strengthening your core can be a challenge if you are unsure about what exercises to use, often it can seem easier to do ab based workout and hope for the best, but to really strengthen your core muscles it's better to focus on slower, more beneficial exercises such as: Plank
Fit ball exercises such as a pike or a raised plank
Slow mountain climbers
Dead Bugs

Bicycle crunches
