Being a student is not always easy and it's common for students to get tired and overwhelmed with work. Incorporating exercise into your weekly routine is a good way to combat stress and anxiety due to the endorphins released when you work out. If you don't really exercise at the moment or you are wondering whether to try out something new, here are a few reasons why exercise is so important for your physical and mental wellbeing:
1. It keeps your body active and healthy - When you're studying for hours on end or sat stationary at a desk, your body can often become stiff and tired. Incorporating 30 minutes of exercise a day, evem if it's just walking to uni and back instead of getting the bus, you will work your muscles and keep your body healthy.
2. It can be a social opportunity - working out doesn't have to be boring, exercise could be in any format and its even more fun if you do it in a group. Go down to the local park and try out a circuit session together and enjoy the social side as well as feeling the benefits of exercise.
