Stretching should always be a part of your exercise routine, but it is incredibly important when you are a student as you spend a lot of time hunched over a desk. Leaning over in a chair when revising is normal when your working hard but it can cause a stiff lower back and is bad for your spine.
To improve your posture when working try placing a cushion behind your back to keep yourself upright or use a chair with a straight back rather than one that leans back.
A great way to stretch out your lower back is the child's pose and upward facing dog which are often used in yoga.
